HOW TO GET THERE
Closest railway stations are Palani Railway Station (64 km), Kodai Road Station (80 km) and Dindigul Railway Junction (100 km).
Closest airport is Madurai, 120 km by road from Kodai. Next are Coimbatore (170 km away) and Trichy or Tiruchirapalli (200 km).
Whether you come by air, rail, or road, the last lap of the journey to Kodai has to be done by road. As you leave the plains and start climbing, you will see one of the highest waterfalls in the world, the Rat Tail or Thalaiyar Falls, which are spectacular sights in the monsoons. The base of the town is well connected by road to most surrounding towns and cities.

April-May – Peak tourist season; pleasant weather but crowded; May is a great time to catch the various horticultural shows held at Byrant Park.
