My journey began at <\/span>Lakkidi,<\/span><\/b> one of the highest points in Wayanad, often called the “<\/span>Gateway of Wayanad<\/span><\/b>.” The winding roads leading up to the viewpoint were thrilling with dense forests on either side.<\/span> The panoramic of the valley covered in mist was surreal. Early mornings are magical as golden sunlight piercing through the clouds.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pookode Lake \u2013 A Serene Escape<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A short drive from<\/span> Lakkidi<\/span><\/b>,\u202f<\/span>Pookode Lake<\/span><\/b>\u202fgreeted me with its tranquil blue waters surrounded by lush forests. The fresh mountain air and the gentle ripples of the lake made it an ideal spot for some quiet reflection.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Soochipara Waterfalls \u2013 The Three-Tiered Wonder<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Also known as\u202f<\/span>Sentinel Rock Waterfalls<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>Soochipara<\/span><\/b> is a\u202f<\/span>three-tiered cascade<\/span><\/b>\u202fhidden inside a dense forest. The short hike down required careful footing over slick rocks each step amplifying the adrenaline. At the cascade\u2019s base glacial waters shocked my skin as the base\u202fwas icy cold but refreshing. The sound of the falls drowned all thoughts of mine it was just pure therapy.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Attamala Viewpoint \u2013 The Hidden Gem<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unlike the crowded viewpoints,\u202f<\/span>Attamala<\/span><\/b>\u202fwas peaceful, with just a few locals around. The rolling hills and distant <\/span>waterfalls <\/span><\/b>made it feel like a scene from\u202f<\/span>The Sound of Music<\/span><\/i>. It is perfect for\u202f<\/span>sunset photography<\/span><\/b>. Sat on a rock sipping coconut water watching the sky change colours. The cool breeze and solitude made it my\u202ffavourite spot.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As I traced my journey back from misty peaks to emerald forests, I realized <\/span>Wayanad<\/span><\/b> isn\u2019t a place you merely\u202f<\/span>visit<\/span><\/i> it\u2019s a place you\u202f<\/span>live<\/span><\/i>. To truly sync with its rhythm, you need mornings that begin with birdsong, afternoons spent lounging by a lakeside, and nights where the only light comes from a sky dense with stars.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
