Wayanad feels different the moment the greenery takes over<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some destinations feel crowded even before the trip properly begins. Wayanad felt completely opposite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The roads slowly became quieter, trees covered both sides of the drive, and somewhere along the way, the entire atmosphere changed. The air felt cooler, the surroundings looked greener, and the pace automatically started slowing down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the time I reached Sterling Wayanad<\/a> near Sultan Bathery, the forest atmosphere already felt like part of the experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And honestly, that feeling stayed throughout the trip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sterling Wayanad<\/strong><\/a> feels surrounded by nature from every side<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What stood out immediately about Sterling Wayanad<\/a> was how connected the property felt to the greenery around it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forest atmosphere didn\u2019t stop outside the resort gates. Spice plants, tall trees, plantation pathways, bird sounds, and cool breeze somehow stayed present throughout the property itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the mornings felt completely different here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of alarms or traffic noise, mornings usually began with birds calling from somewhere between the trees while mist slowly moved across the greenery around the property. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At one point, I simply sat outside with tea listening to the sounds around the forest side of the resort without even realising how much time had passed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And honestly, that slower atmosphere quietly became the best part of the stay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Soil to Soul experience felt more connected to Wayanad itself<\/strong><\/a><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most memorable parts of the stay was the Soil to Soul<\/a> experience at Sterling Wayanad.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It didn\u2019t feel like a regular plantation walk created only for tourists. It felt more connected to the everyday lifestyle of Wayanad itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experience takes guests through spice and vegetable farms around the property where pepper, cardamom, coffee, and local produce are grown. Walking through the plantation pathways while learning about farming practices, harvesting methods, and local ingredients somehow made the trip feel more personal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were moments where the smell of pepper and cardamom stayed strongly in the air while local stories about cultivation and farming life were being shared during the walk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At another point, we stopped near sections where vegetables and herbs grown around the property were explained as part of the farm-to-table dining experience at the resort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And honestly, those smaller experiences made the stay feel far more rooted in Wayanad instead of feeling like a regular hill-station vacation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resort location makes sightseeing feel easier<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another thing that worked really well about Sterling Wayanad<\/a> was the location around Sultan Bathery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though the resort felt surrounded by greenery and forest ambience, major attractions around Wayanad were still comfortably accessible during the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edakkal Caves, located around 12 to 14 kilometres away from the resort, made for an easy half-day visit. The climb becomes more enjoyable because of the cooler weather around the hills, and once you reach the top, the panoramic green views across Wayanad completely change the atmosphere again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ancient carvings inside the caves and the surrounding hill views make it one of the most memorable tourist spots in the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karapuzha Dam, located roughly 18 to 20 kilometres from Sterling Wayanad<\/a>, felt calmer and more scenic. The drive itself through greener roads and smaller village stretches honestly became part of the experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And because the resort is positioned close to the Sultan Bathery side, the forest surroundings around the Muthanga region naturally become part of the atmosphere throughout the stay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evenings around the resort felt naturally peaceful<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evenings at Sterling Wayanad<\/a> slowly became my favourite part of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the light started fading behind the trees, the entire atmosphere around the property became calmer. Bird sounds slowly softened, cooler breeze moved through the greenery, and people naturally started slowing down around the open spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some guests quietly sat outdoors while others walked around the property without really doing anything specific. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And honestly, that\u2019s probably what felt nicest about Wayanad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nobody seemed in a hurry to constantly move from one activity to another. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surroundings themselves felt enough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayanad feels more about atmosphere than sightseeing plans<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking back now, I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll remember this trip because of one single tourist attraction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll probably remember the atmosphere more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forest sounds during mornings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spice plantations around the resort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cooler air near Sultan Bathery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The slower evenings surrounded by greenery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And those moments where everything simply felt quieter than everyday life back home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s probably what made Sterling Wayanad<\/a> feel memorable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not because it tried too hard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But because the forest atmosphere around it felt real from the beginning till the end. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
