Cooler weather and comfortable safaris

The post-monsoon and winter months bring more comfortable temperatures, making this a popular time to explore Tipeshwar. Wildlife viewing can also be rewarding during this period.

Warmer days and better visibility

As the forest dries out, vegetation becomes less dense and wildlife can be easier to spot. The warmer months can be particularly rewarding for wildlife enthusiasts, although temperatures can be high.

Monsoon closure

Tipeshwar remains closed during the monsoon period, when heavy rainfall makes safari operations difficult. Safari operations typically resume after the monsoon, subject to Forest Department regulations.

If your priority is comfortable weather, consider October to February. If your priority is wildlife visibility and you can handle the heat, the warmer months can offer a different kind of safari experience.

Follow your guide's instructions at all times.
Remain seated inside the safari vehicle unless instructed otherwise.
Keep your voice low.
Maintain a safe distance from wildlife.
Carry sufficient drinking water.
Keep your camera and binoculars ready.
Take all your waste back with you.
Respect the sanctuary and its rules.

DON'TS

Feed or attempt to attract wildlife.
Play music or make loud noises.
Litter in the forest.
Use flash photography around wildlife.
Stand up or lean out of the vehicle.
Attempt to approach, chase or provoke animals.
Smoke where prohibited.
Expect a tiger sighting to be guaranteed.
