Machhli Kebab

Boneless Salmon | 1 pound |
Spinach leaves | 1 bunch |
Coconut powder | 10 gm |
Green chillies | 30 gm |
Cashew nuts | 10 gm |
Raisins | 10 gm |
Cheese | 5 gm |
Garlic | 5 gm |
Ginger | 5 gm |
Hung curd | 20 gm |
Fresh cream | 5 gm |
Garam masala powder | 3 gm |
Jeera powder | 3 gm |
Turmeric | 1 gm |
Broil gram flour | 3 gm |
Black salt | 1 tsp |
Salt | As per taste |
Oil | For frying |
Method
- Add little oil to the pan and roast spinach leaves.
- When the spinach leaves wilt a bit, add crushed cashew nut, coconut powder, cheese, raisins and chopped green chilli. Keep some cashew nuts and green chillies for the marinade.
- Stir for two minutes. Remove the mixture from flame.
- Slice the salmon and stuff the above mixture into them.
- Take the remaining green chillies and make them into a paste. Grind remaining cashew nuts into a fine paste.
- In a bowl, mix garlic, ginger, hung curd, cashew nut paste, cream, green chilli paste, salt, garam masala powder, jeera powder, turmeric, black salt, broil gram flour and oil. Take care to stir well so that all spices get mixed into a uniform marinade.
- Soak the salmon pieces with the marinade well. Keep aside for 40 minutes.
- Take the marinated salmon, skew them on grill.
- Put them on tandoor and cook well, till each piece turns colour.
- Serve hot with mint chutney.
