Shimla, the summer capital of British India is a predominantly cool city. It features a large number of temples and palaces to visit. I had planned to tour Shimla with my entire family and we preferred to reach Shimla by road. Driving down was a good idea for it gave us a good opportunity to bond with each other in the family.

Our kids noticed the toy train in Shimla and they were thrilled to ride in it. Its slow pace is a welcome change from the hurried nature of city life.  The Kalka- Shimla toy train is very popular amongst tourists. . It was notably the best moment of our Shimla tour and in my life as well. It was awesome being with the family and I will treasure these memories for a long time to come.
