Hot and Spicy Grilled Pomfret
A fiery grilled Pomfret with parsley butter sauce
Fresh Pomfret is excellent on the grill and this recipe is just perfect for a spring evening or for a summer lunch. Marinated with tangy lemon-pepper, this grilled dish is served with fresh steamed vegetables and with creamy sauce. A wholesome and a filling dish for everyone in the family, this grill has loads of proteins.

Pomfret fresh | 1 no (250 gm) |
Garlic Pod | 1 no (finely chopped) |
Lime juice | 2 tbsp |
Vegetable oil | 1 tbsp |
Lemon pepper | 1 tsp (for seasoning) |
Black pepper | 3 no (freshly cracked) |
Parsley | 1 sprig (finely chopped) |
Salt | As per taste |
Method
- Clean the pomfret well and make four fine slits with a knife on each side of pomfret.
- Mix all the ingredients and marinate pomfret in it for one hour.
- Grill marinated pomfret in a pan on medium fire. Both sides of the fish must be grilled for almost four minutes.
- Pour the remaining marinade on it while grilling the fish and keep it covered for a minute.
- Check if the fish is fully cooked using a fork. If the fish is easily flaked by a fork, it is done.
Parsely Butter Sauce

Parsley | 1 sprig (finely chopped) |

Method
- Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix well for a minute.
- Sauce is ready to serve along with grill pomfret.
To garnish steam a carrot, beans and baby corn, decorate the dish as shown in the picture. Keep some lemon slices on the pomfret to give an appetizing look.
