Must be in Mussoorie… Misty terrain calling!
Mussoorie is one of India’s most popular tourist spots and a favourite honeymoon destination. This delightful hill station never ceases to surprise its visitors, be it pilgrims, trekkers or wildlife enthusiasts. Overlooking the sprawling Doon Valley, the gateway to Mussoorie, this bustling town is located at the Garhwal foothills at a height of about 7000 ft above sea level.
Mussoorie offers ample opportunities for the visiting tourist with many activities to indulge – right from shopping to horse riding and mountaineering. The Mall, is the most well known landmark of Mussoorie and an absolute shopaholic’s delight. For the religiously inclined there are temples and for those looking at family outings and some fun, there are lovely picnic spots, view points and cascading waterfalls. One can also spot, gracious colonial bungalows and quaint buildings dotting this town.
Climate
The months between April and June and September and October are the most pleasant. Avoid peak monsoon season due to possible landslides and winter months due to heavy snowfall.
Kempty Falls is closed during the winter and can be visited from the months of March through July

Mussoorie is a hit with honeymooners as well as weekend revellers. No wonder it’s called ‘the honeymoon capital of North India’.
Vijay Anand’s “Teesri Manzil” starring the late Shammi Kapoor was shot in Mussoorie.
