Pesto with penne sauce vegetarian recipe

The sauce is what gives any pasta dish its unique flavor and character. This easy to make pesto sauce has a blend of the perfect ingredients to give your palates a taste ride.This dish is sure to top your list of lip smacking Italian favorites.




Fresh basil 100 gm
Pine nuts 50 gm
Olive oil 40 ml
Garlic 30 gm
Parmesan cheese 70 gm
Penne pasta 175 gm
Tomato 1 pc
Capsicum ½ pc
Fresh cream 50 ml
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste


  • Make the pesto sauce with basil, pine nuts, half of the required olive oil & garlic, parmesan cheese and grind all these and keep it aside.
  • Take the frying pan, pore the remaining oil.
  • Add the rest of garlic chopped and fry till it turns brown in colour.
  • Add julienne capsicum & tomato and sauté it.
  • Add penne pasta, salt, pepper, sauté it for a few minutes.
  • Then finally, add pesto sauce. Stir it well and finish it with cream.
