Pan grilled seer darne with lemony and orange sauce
A great combination of flavour and texture
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 30ml orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 150gms seer fillets
- 2 tablespoon lemon pepper
Directions
For sauce
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan on medium heat.
- Mix lemon juice, orange juice, salt, pepper, parsley flakes, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
- Cook and stir for about 10 minutes, until thickened.
For Fish
- Marinate the seer darne with below ingredients for 5 minutes.
- lemon, juiced
- salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon pepper
- Place seer darne on the fry pan at medium heat.
- Add 1 tsp olive oil in the pan and grill for 2 1/2 mins each side of the darne.
- Now sprinkle lemon pepper and cover it with foil to have a juicy steak.
- Grill until the fish can be flaked with a fork.
- Now pour the remaining sauce mixture over the fish to serve.
Tip
To check if a fish fillet is done, gently poke a fork into the flesh of the fish and twist gently. If the flesh flakes apart easily, then the fish is done.
