Sterling Yercaud is a 7-acre resort perched on a rocky ledge atop the Shevaroy Hills. It has 69 rooms, accessed partly by lift & partly by stairs, overlooking coffee plantations & each with a lovely view of the valley & a night view of the lights of Salem.
Yercaud is a small hamlet formed around a beautiful lake with thick forests and pretty gardens around it. Sterling Yercaud is at a walking distance from some key tourist spots like Lady’s Seat, Gent’s Seat, Children’s Seat and the Rose Garden. At dusk, you get a fantastic view as the Salem city lights up at the foothills.
The resort can also arrange customized treks, road trips, night safaris, bird watching tours and nature walks. Yercaud is a great place to explore by cycle, which can be hired from the resort. If you are up for some indoor or outdoor games, then the resort's Holiday Activity Centre is the place to be.

We are perfectly positioned just a short stroll away from the most iconic viewpoints in Yercaud. **Lady’s Seat, Gent’s Seat, and Children’s Seat** are all within 1km of our resort. This makes it incredibly easy to walk over and catch a spectacular sunset or look through the telescope house at the plains below without needing to drive.
This is arguably the most famous feature of our property. Because of our "edge-of-the-cliff" location, the resort offers an unobstructed panoramic view of Salem city. At night, the city lights sparkle like a blanket of stars thousands of feet below—a sight best enjoyed from our terrace or valley-view rooms.
The Emerald Lake, which is the center of all tourist activity, is just about 1.5 km from the resort. It is a very quick 5-minute drive or a pleasant downhill walk through the winding hill roads. You can easily spend your morning boating or exploring the lakeside shops and be back at the resort in minutes for a relaxed lunch.
