Summer builds fast here, climbing from a manageable 20°C in March to a punishing 43°C by June. Early mornings and rooftop evenings stay bearable, but this is generally the toughest stretch for walking between the City Palace and the ghats.
Monsoon (July – September)
The monsoon brings temperatures down to a more comfortable 25°C to 39°C range, with Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar Lake filling up and the Aravalli hills turning a deep green. Rain can be unpredictable, but this is an underrated season for lake views in Udaipur.
Winter (October – February)
Winter is the best time to visit Udaipur, with days cooling to between 5°C and 32°C, and December in particular bringing crisp mornings perfect for exploring the City Palace and Lake Pichola without the summer crowds or heat.
