Terms and Conditions

 

Overview

  • This facility will be available only at specific resorts and will be notified from time to time.
  • The guest shall inform at the time of booking that they are taking their pets along with them and the CV to be issued will specifically state the same. 
  • The guest will incur the additional charge that shall be applicable on each approved pet as per the standard charges of the resort.

           

Pet Specifications

  • Currently, only dogs will be allowed at SHRL resorts under this facility
  • Pet(s) weighing more than 30kg, will not be allowed at the pet-friendly resorts.
  • Access to dogs at pet-friendly resorts, is at SHRL’s discretion
  • The guest must ensure that the pet has been vaccinated/ inoculated and is free from ticks and any other infection and will not be a health hazard to anyone that the pet comes in contact with.

           

Vaccination

  • The guest is required to submit a soft copy of the pet(s) up to date vaccination card(s) through email before the commencement of trip.
  • The guest is required to carry the original vaccination card(s) during the trip for verification at the resort.

           

At the Resort – Public Areas

  • The guest cannot bring any pet(s) to the resort and/ or rooms without the prior written approval of SHRL. The guest must abide by the pet policy of the resort whereby pets are not allowed in the restaurant, bars, swimming pool, banquet areas, spa, fitness centre and Discovery Central. 
  • Loud pet(s)/ excessive barking is not allowed in the resort and the guest may be asked to vacate the premises in case the pet(s) becomes a nuisance to other guests/ occupants of the resort.
  • The guest will walk the pet to the designated litter area/ outside the resort to attend to nature’s call and clean up after the pet. The pet waste will be disposed in the designated garbage bin and not left in the open.  
  • The pet (s) shall be kept on leash at all times in public areas.

           

At The Resort - Rooms

  • The guest must be present in the room when the resort staff is required to service the room/ provide any in-room dining services and will let the staff know when the guest shall be present, to service the room.
  • Any damage to the room/ furnishing caused by the pet(s) shall be the guest’s responsibility and the resort reserves the right to assess the damage and levy appropriate charges to the guest. 
  • The pet (s) shall not be left unattended in the room at any time.

           

At The Resort – General

  • In the event of any loss, damage, nuisance or any other mishap caused to the resort/other guests by the pet, the guest alone shall be liable for such an occurrence and shall fully compensate the resort/other guests for the same.
  • If the pet bites another guest’s pet/ resident/ guest/ staff in the resort, the guest will be liable to pay for the treatment, loss of income due to injury, mental trauma, cost of damaged personal belongings, for instance: - torn clothing, chewed handbags, shoes etc. 
  • In the event of non-compliance of any of the above conditions, the permission to keep the pet(s) shall be revoked by the resort and the guest shall abide by the decision of the management of the resort.
