Durbar Hall Museum
The former palace of the Nawab of Junagadh has since been converted into a museum housing the prized possessions of the Junagadh Nawabs.

A former palace, the Darbar Hall museum is one of Gujarat’s – if not India’s – finest museums. The splendid repository includes the 19th-century possessions of the Nawabs that were found here years ago. Darbar Hall Museum houses different galleries exhibiting around 2900 artefacts – like weapons, armour, palanquins, sparkling chandeliers, howdahs, diamond woven carpets, photos, gowns, silver items, jewellery and paintings that depict the lifestyles of the Nawabs and are the major highlights of the museum. This museum is truly exquisite, and an absolute must visit when in the area.
