Uttarakhand is famous for its art and culture and one of the popular art forms is the ‘Pahadi’ Art of the Bhutia community. The weavers of this community, renown for their weaving techniques incorporate bold and vibrant colors in various materials, including wool, cloth, silk, and carpets.
Each design has a three-dimensional effect and draws inspiration from nature and the wildlife of the region. Explore and discover some popular motifs and designs like:
